About me

I want to tell you a little about my professional background and how I ended up doing something that I love.


I graduated from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary and I immediately started my career with a variety of large corporations in the downtown core. I have taken on a variety of roles. I was a strategic business analyst, financial analyst, a business development manager for Calgary’s real estate sector, and I have had experience in an array of other disciplines. In these roles, I have negotiated multi-million dollar purchase and lease of capital assets, analyzed and recommended for the viabilities of multi-billion dollar projects, and attracted international business to Calgary’s real estate sector.


I left the “corporate world” in early 2009 to focus on real estate full time, and my corporate experience has served me very well in this business. After practicing real estate for a few years, I am now the broker/owner of RE/MAX iREALTY INNOVATIONS and I LOVE WHAT I DO!


From managing and mitigating risk for multi-billion dollar projects, I now help our associates minimize their risk in this business. From analyzing project viability, I now analyze every aspect of our brokerage to ensure that we are ahead of the crowd and successful at what we do. This may entail attracting potential clients for our associates, streamlining a process for efficiency with our realtors allowing more time to do business, or focusing specifically on helping a team member increase his/her earnings.  With my experience of attracting international real estate business and investment into Calgary, I now use this experience to attract potential clients for our realtors. In an industry that is moving forward at a rapid pace, I  am leading a brokerage that is staying ahead of the curve and I am confident that RE/MAX iREALTY INNOVATIONS is the most leading edge brokerage in the city.

Now, with all of that stuff out of the way, here are twenty things about me to help you get to know me a bit better:

 

  1. I got married in July 2010. We’ve been dating for 9 years before that. Everyone said it was about time.
  2. I love to snowboard and play any type of hockey because it is physically challenging.
  3. I love to golf because it’s mentally challenging.
  4. I have a keen interest in cars, motorcycles, and pretty much anything that has wheels on it.
  5. Maybe you’ve seen me around, my License plate reads “REALTUR” – That’s because I love this industry and support our REALTORS in any way that I can! - The proper spelling was taken!
  6. Photography is a big hobby of mine. I love to capture a moment in time, because memories are worth having.
  7. I like to go camping and fishing, it relaxes me and truly is quality time with family and friends.
  8. I love to travel because the experience is once in a lifetime.
  9. I arrived in Calgary as a refugee in 1987 and have called this great city home ever since.
  10. I love food! Our vacations are planned around food. My favourite restaurant is Morimoto in Tokyo Japan.
  11. No surprise, my favourite chef is Masaharu Morimoto, and my favourite food is sushi. But I like all types of food.
  12. I love to DIY (do it yourself) because that’s how I grow and learn new things. I am a jack of all trades but a master of none, well maybe real estate. ;)
  13. I am a self proclaimed MS Excel wizard.
  14. I make an effort to recycle because it is important to future generations.
  15. I enjoy driving, it gives me time to reflect and sort things out.
  16. I like the Discovery Channel, TLC, Food Network, Speed Channel, Spike, CNN, Sportsnet, and alike.
  17. I play the saxophone but haven’t played it in many years.
  18. I am fascinated by astrology and science.
  19. I am a firm believer of Karma.
  20. I like light hearted movies because they are enjoyable and doesn’t add any stress like the thriller or horror movies do.
